If you have bought some bamboo fiber products before and without any knowledge of it. you will probably be astonished after you read this. recent days I received some same questions from our customers and this made me feel the necessity to make this issue pubic and let more people know.

Does bamboo fiber material contain melamine and how much it takes up? the answer is YES and the melamine percentage is not standard. People do not like melamine because it is as chemical as plastic. Why we still use it even though we know it is not nature. there is a dilemma for manufacturers, on one hand, ideally we want to keep bamboo fiber products naturally pure. but on the other hand we have to reply on one feature of melamine, why say so? Bamboo fiber material is composed by a few different materials, expect for bamboo fiber, melamine, there are also wood fiber, corn starch exsting. I am not going to expose percentages of the 3 natural compositions since the major doubt is melamine. Bamboo fiber, wood fiber and corn starch are all not adhesive themselves, so the important player to compose them all comes to melamine due to its adhesive feature. Is there other material that can replace melamine to play this role? Sadly we have not found any feasible and efficient material that can replace melamine but we are still trying.

Move to next question, even though bamboo fiber has been more well known than a few years ago. but the material is still a technology that not every manufacturer can duplicate in the same standard.  You may hear from some suppliers, their products are 100% bamboo fiber or 80%/90% anyway in a word their melamine percentage is very low or even zero! Be ALERT please from the moment, because you have been lied by dishonest people.

What is the truth? The TRUTH is 30% melamine is the lowest percentage that this whole industry and the world can do for bamboo fiber products. and not every manufacturer can make it regardless of the truth, Right now only 3 suppliers in China now can do 30% MELAMINE and we are one of them. Bamboo fiber was confidentially introduced to China by a manufacturer who then solely owned the technology for a few years. in the following years, a lot of manufacturers begin to duplicate but hard to control melamine percentage. usually they make 40%-65% melamine. and this is the best they can do. I even heard one factory add melamine up to 70% and price can also drop because melamine is more cheap.

Bamboo fiber material is not mixed completed before we buy from material suppliers. We buy different materials and mix them as per a correct percentages and based on confidential technology. that is why we can take the lead in the market.

You are welcome to discuss and send your questions to my email mark@ecodinnerset.com . I will be glad to talk to you.
