We are going to push out PLA collection. Some customers may not hear of PLA before. This post is to help you understand this new eco friendly material and why you should consider PLA in your next collection. I believe this will be a decision you never regret to make.

Polylactic acid (PLA) is a new kind of biodegradable material. It is made from ingredient such as sugar or the corn starch transfered to glucose by saccharification. then generate lactic acid in high purity after bacterial fermentation. And again have the final polylactic through the chemical synthesis method.

Unlike other plastic materials that still requires incineration to disappear, PLA has very good biodegradable property. After using, it can completely biodegrade by naturally microorganism and finally end up in carbon dioxide and water. PLA has been recognized as one of the most environment friendly material.

PLA can achieve full biodegradation in 180 days after buried in the soil under the condition of compost degradation. If it is abandoned in outdoor, according to different environment conditions, 1-3 years can achieve degradation, however the specific also depends on the PLA product structure and thickness.

PLA composting conditions are as follows:
58 + 2 ℃ temperature
Humidity of 98%
There are certain microbes

Disadvantages: 1- Material cost is higher than most traditional plastic. 2- Highest temperature resistance shall not exceed 100℃. 3- Not recommend to use in microwave oven.

Use:  Safe to use in the dishwasher. Not recommended to put into the microwave oven unless set the use condition in medium temperature for 2-3 minutes at most.

Product color: Can be customized per Pantone color number.

Print: Logo print on products or designs printed by heat transfer or labelling in mould. Printing plate charges to make heat transfer print is more expensive. Cost is issued based on design and actual color quantity.
